| The boy was bought to the clinic by his mother- his main complaint was of forgetfulness and that he was slow in academics. He had been diagnosed as Dyslexia. Otherwise the boy was active, reasonable and intelligent.
Birth History:
Normally delivered baby with a birth weight of 8 lbs. All his milestones
were normal.
His complaints were as follows :
- Could spell words verbally but while writing or pronouncing, he made mistakes
- Confusion as to who were which amongst his cousins and aunts
- Difficulty in differentiating colors and alphabets but could remember songs, stories, etc
- Weak memory about the past
- Fast speech with skipping of words
- Marked restlessness
- Being scared of new teachers and not wanting to go to school
- Very shy and when asked to greet people, he would hide behind the curtains
- Would want company and did not feel confident to do things on his own
In general, he was a loving and affectionate child. He was very active and liked sports which he was good at.
After studying his case, Baryta Carb 30 was prescribed. Over the period of 3-4 weeks his speech improved and his concentration and memory got better. Gradually over the months, his overall behavior and learning ability improved. He now enjoyed his school, he had started performing better at academics and his confidence was better. He was more social and communicative with people.
