36 year old actress reported with a complaint of profuse bleedingduring menses lasting for 8-9 days. She also complained of passage of clots with a lot of discomfort during the menses; she would not be able to bear the discomfort and would feel very weak. Ultrasonography had confirmed the diagnosis of multiple fibroids of variable sizes in the uterus.
The patient was unmarried and during the case taking, it was found that she had an affair with a married man. He was an established actor and nearly twice her age when the affair started. Due to certain social problems, they could not get married, but their relationship continued for years. She also wanted to have children but since she could not marry, the desire of having a child had to be suppressed.
As an actress, she never accepted any role other than the lead role in the films. She always wanted her name to appear first during the film titles or else she would refuse the role. If her Ego was not satisfied at any place, she would walk out of there.
Generosity and kindness were a part of her nature and she offered financial and emotional support to everyone in her family. All this strain took a toll on her health. She developed hormonal disturbances, irregular periods and multiple uterine fibroids.
Physically, she was beautiful with dark complexion, sharp features and clear eyes. She liked to have sweets and was averse to non-vegetarian food. Mild constipation was common for her. She would be comfortable in a colder environment. Her sleep would be disturbed sometimes and she would frequently dream of marriage, of flying and winning an award.
Based on the above history, she was given a dose of Palladium 200. During the span of one year, four more doses of Palladium 200 were given. Within 1 year, the fibroids disappeared completely. The Ultrasonography showed no fibroids in the uterus. Her menses were no longer as profuse and as painful as before; they would last only 5-6 days now and she did not experience any weakness any longer.
At a later stage during treatment, she realized that the person she loved was not honest to her; he had had many such affairs. She broke off the relationship with him and decided to start life afresh.
