Mrs. NP reported to the clinic with pain in the kidney region on both sides. The pain would get worse by bending or hard work. She would only feel better by complete rest. Often she would need hospitalization for her pain and haematuria (blood in urine).
She was a known case of Polycystic Kidney and had been advised to go for Dialysis and subsequently Renal transplant. These procedures were postponed due to her low hemoglobin count, a result of haematuria.
She also complained of hypertension, giddiness, constipation and renal stones.
Her appetite was low and she craved for salty food.
Mrs. NP was eldest in the family; she has a younger brother and sister. Her father expired when she was just 9 yrs old. Due to financial difficulties her mother put her in an orphanage and she stayed there for the next 8-9 years. A feeling of being neglected as a child is there in her.
Now she was much relaxed and tensions would not disturb her.
She was a sensitive person and would get attached to people easily.
The patient had a helping nature and would always be willing to help others.
By nature she was a very short tempered person and would get irritated very easily, but would not express her anger. She did not like much work and tended to be lethargic, however if she set her mind to do something she would accomplish it.
Her sleep was sound with lot of dreams, but she did not remember the dreams after waking up.
